My first name JOHN signifies my catholic beliefs.

My second name, PRAKASH signifies my Indian roots and in the Indian national language, Hindi, means LIGHT.

My last name D’SOUZA is my family name and represents the conversion of my ancestors under the Portuguese influence.

WORLDLY DEBUT:   30th of October 1973, to the star SCORPIO

A PLACE TO BE BORN:  In my native hometown of MANGALORE, INDIA.

A CHANGE OF ENVIRONMENT:  Moved to KUWAIT at the age of 3 in the year 1977. I pursued my education at NEW INDIAN SCHOOL till the year 1990, completing my 10th grade, when Saddam Hussein drew first blood with Kuwait.

I moved back to MANGALORE, INDIA, where I continued my education at ST. ALOYSIUS COLLEGE, to complete my 12th grade in 1992. thereafter I registered myself to pursue a Bachelors program in Mechanical Engineering at MANIPAL INSTITUE OF TECHNOLOGY, Manipal, the town situated approximately 30 miles from Mangalore.

I successfully completed my Bachelors in 1997 and then moved to Indian metropolis o Mumbai, better known internationally as BOMBAY. It was here that I accomplished one of my life’s best achievements. I was Architect, designer, Contractor and Financier to the total interior refurbishment of my apartment. the whole project took more than 7 months to complete and I am glad to say that it came out looking real great to the envious concerns and shallow complains of my neighbors. Hey, But then WHO CARES!!!!!!.

Well I continued through the rest of 1998 and the first few months of 1999 working till I left to come to New York to pursue my masters in Computer Science at NEW YORK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYS’ Manhattan campus

well I'm not what you would exactly call a cyber junkie, but I'm guess I'm  getting' there.
I spend most of my free time on the web exploring new sites  (and getting' out of old ones). There was a time I loved chatting, and to be honest  with you, I made quite a few cyber friends of the female variety, especially on BOLT and on AOL’s Indian chat, but I'm over that now, lost them all to "TIME".  If you love chatting or are thinking about whiling away your time in some chat  room room, why not add some flavor and spice to your collection of earthly  figures and enter the Indian chat on AOL. But be forewarned!! -- the Indian chat  on AOL has a few freaks on board so if you plan going' there, pull your pants up,  lock your doors and close your eyes.
just kidding!!!!!!! you should have a  good time, that is if your Indian or at least claim to be one. Don't ask me but  Indians in that place aren't very friendly if you declare your non-Indian  national status.
anyway besides that I check the music sites on the web and  hey there are some great ones in cyberspace. I guess you all know the best, or  should I rightly say, the most famous one of them all now!!! NAPSTER.But you'll  need a good media player and faster connection speed through DSL, which is offered by quite a few companies like AOL, BELL ATLANTIC (now known as VERIZON), TELOCITY etc etc... or ISDN to be  able to better enjoy those sites, not that a normal 56K modem won't do.
I  have been working on MAC P/C’s for sometime and they are out with some new real  cool hardware, called "Airport cards" and "Firewire technology." This is real  cool because Airport cards let you connect 2 Mac's through Infrared connectors and  they transfer data at approximately 11 Megabits per second. the approximate  Maximum distance you can have between the 2 machines, I believe is about 50  feet, through walls of average thickness. Firewire connects 2 Mac's through a  cable to the the Firewire port on the 2 machines. It transfers data at 400  Megabits per second!!!!!. Well if you own a Mac I'm sure you have heard of these  cards and if you haven't just go to "Mac Connections". I do not know if any P.C.  manufactures offer hardware similar to this for the P.C. but if they do do let  me know.

Interesting  Life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey! have you watched the latest movies. If you have, do  fill me on the them 'cause I really haven't had the chance to dive into a movie  lately.
I love watching movies of the American variety, besides I  llllllooooooooovvvvvvveeeeeeeeee listening to music. I don't exactly have a  favorite band. I listen to all kinds of music and have a humongous collection.  I basically listen to tunes and if I like 'em then that's that for me .So I  listen to most brands of music except for HIP HOP, reggae, RAP etc. As I said  earlier I need to hear tunes in songs so I guess the above three are out.
If  you like environmental music I would suggest you listen to a group called "deep  forest"
it's has kind of envoirotech sounds.
As for sports I play soccer  and basketball. I played for my college team as well as captained the team.  would love to get on the field even now.

Tell me if you are also into it and  play regularly. Maybe I could join you guys for a match or something.
As far  as hobbies go, I love reading' books on cosmology and the universe. I've read  Stephen Hawking's best seller "a brief history of time". What a smasher of a  book, besides I've read 'bout black holes, similarity between God and science  and a whole lots of other stuff. If any of you are avid readers on this subject do  let me know of some good books available.
Oh by the way I do play some  instruments like the Piano, Guitar and the Drums. I have studied classical Piano  and given the "associated board of the royal schools of music, London" exams. I  learnt to play the guitar and the drums myself. I'm pretty O.K. at them all.
So I guess I'll stop boring you all here.
